Key features:
Arsenical leaded dezincification resistant alloy with good machining performance. Meets requirements of AS4020 for products used in contact with drinking water.
Full alloy description:
A.W. Fraser Alloy CZ132 is a leaded arsenical brass conforming to the requirements of B.S. 2874 and B.S . 2872.
CZ132 has been developed as a machining and forging brass which exhibits excellent resistance to dezinc-ification.
The composition of A.W. Fraser alloy CZ132 is strictly controlled as are the extrusion and finishing operations to achieve a consistent standard of quality, properties and structure.
All extrusions are manufactured from continuous cast billet ensuring uniform dispersion of lead particles, homogenous grain structure and freedom from porosity.
Batches of CZ132 extrusions are tested for dezincification resistance in accordance with A.S. 2345 - 2016.
Machinability Rating: 80
SAE Grade: n/a
